About Us

---

As a founder and Director of Aurora Performing Arts, Stacey brings decades of experience across performance, music education, business and project delivery. A performer since before she started school, she combines a lifelong understanding of the performing arts with the experience to turn ambitious ideas into well-run projects.

A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Stacey has performed in a broad range of music styles and ensembles across Australia and the Pacific and competed at the highest level.

Stacey has operated her own music studio for more than 25 years, teaching and mentoring young musicians. She has also organised concerts, competitions and large-scale musical projects, bringing together performers, educators and communities.

Alongside her performing arts background, Stacey brings extensive experience in accounting, business, education, leadership and project management. This combination gives her a strong focus on both Aurora's creative vision and the planning, governance and financial sustainability needed to build it for the long term.

Stacey and Luke founded Aurora to create meaningful performance opportunities for young people and to show them the breadth of careers available across the performing arts industry. She is driven to create opportunities that are professionally delivered, genuinely valuable and capable of serving the region for years to come.

As a founder and Director of Aurora Performing Arts, Luke brings more than 15 years of business experience, practical judgement and a strong operational focus to the organisation. He has a knack for anticipating what needs to happen, finding practical solutions and making sure the job gets done properly.

Luke has successfully run his own business for more than 15 years and more recently has diversified into several business activities. His experience has given him a strong understanding of business operations, planning, safety and the practical realities of turning an idea into something that works.

A long-time participant in community groups, Luke brings a grounded perspective to Aurora. Not a performer himself, he sees the performing arts through the eyes of an audience member and recognises the value of strong production, organisation and the many people working behind the scenes.

Luke and Stacey founded Aurora with a shared belief that young people should have greater opportunities to explore careers across the performing arts industry.

Forward-thinking and practical, Luke brings common sense, business experience and a strong focus on safety to the board. He is someone who sees what needs doing, works out how to make it happen and gets on with it.

Louise brings a practical, hands-on approach to Aurora, backed by first hand performance experience and a strong drive to achieve the best possible outcome in everything she takes on. She sets high standards, gets involved and looks for ways to make every project stronger.

Her lifelong involvement in sport and performance spans marching, karate, netball, drama and dance. In recent years, Louise has developed a passion for line dancing, performing locally and at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and competing at events across Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

That experience has given Louise a firsthand understanding of the commitment behind performance, the confidence it can build and the value of having opportunities to challenge yourself and improve.

Originally from Tasmania, Louise has called Mildura home since she was 19 and has strong connections to the local community. Practical and down-to-earth, she brings a willingness to do the work as well as contribute to the bigger picture, continually looking at how Aurora's projects can be improved and delivered to a high standard.

Louise believes young people should have opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence and discover what they are capable of. Through Aurora, she wants to help create those opportunities in an environment where young people are supported to do their best, be proud of their achievements and enjoy the experience along the way.
